When I was a kid the SCHOOL bought the copy paper. Students only purchased their own private supplies that they personally would use. Things like pencils, notebooks, and crayons. I can understand budget cuts but why pass the buck onto the parents, the school can clearly get a better deal on paper when buying in bulk, the total amount of money spent will be higher with each student individually buying a ream of paper. If they’re that poor why not have all the parents send in a dollar so they can buy paper in bulk, as compared to making each parent buy tons of paper totaling a higher price-tag. I know there are sometimes sales but they have limits, so we’ll end up paying full price for at least half of it anyway. They even make us purchase dry erase markers for the white board and are picky about the brand! What’s next, printer ink? Textbooks? Desks? What are my tax dollars going to anyway? A black hole? Really teachers are always complaining they don’t make any money, and now they have no money for supplies, and they cut the temperature inside the building from 65 to 60f, so where in the world is it vanishing to?
I don’t understand why the schools can afford new math books but not copy paper, math doesn’t change. It’s not history. As far as I’m concerned a good math book should last until its ripping apart at the seams.
I’m a student in High School interested in these two fields and I’m starting to learn Java (for AP Computer Science) as well as HTML, CSS, and PHP for web design. I’ve heard a white board could be useful to organize my thoughts and websites, is this true?
Okay, so I found out a couple days ago that we might be moving into a smaller house. We might be because we need to find a place that we can afford. So, the house we are looking at is 2 rooms small, but we are planning on making the family room into a bedroom for 2. That is my little sister and I.
We still don’t know if we are moving in, but I sure hope we do. We used to live in that area but moved when my dad’s friend had a bigger house up for rent. Now, ex-friends he is giving us problems. We are going to move to the same house since the people that were renting it moved out, and gave us an opportunity to move in for free since we own the house.
Are really want to move back in as we are currently discussing it. I want to move back in because my brother is turning 17 this month, and that means in a couple of years he will be moved out, then my sister can move into his room and I will have a big family room as a bedroom to myself. (The room is about the size of two small bedrooms combined. About 60-70 square feet.) Also, I miss my friends at that school and the house in general I miss.
Now, stop blabbering and onto the question. How could I make this work? My dad said if we do move in then he will put up doors to both entrances. Since there is no closet, we will knock down a wall and steal a closet. (The room across from the family room has two closets and my dad just has to knock down a wall and block it off from the other room and we have a closet in there!) My sister is seven years old and I’m thirteen years old. We both want to paint the walls a deep purple. And the ceiling a white. We will have bunk beds. The bottom bunk will be a full and the top will be a twin. She will get the top and I will get the bottom. (I get the full) The sheets will be white and the quilt will be a deep dark purple. The bunk beds will be white metal. (To avoid splinters) Across from the bunk beds. (To the right of them.) Will hold a TV. The TV will be held on a shelf and under it will be a DVD and CD player. The carpet will either be white or a dark purple to match the quilts. Across the room is the closet and to the right along the wall we will have both out dressers. (hers is a long one mine is a tall one.) We might just sell them both for a wide long white dresser with six drawers. Three for me, three for her. There is a section between both doors big enough for a desk so we will buy a white desk big enough for two for homework and projects. At the end of the bunk beds will be a white or/and purple case for all her toys. I will let her put her stuffed animals across the dresser. In the middle of the room, I will buy purple and white bean bag chairs to sit on. On the left wall will be a white shelf/shelves for hers and my books we like to read. We will discuss what to put up on the walls. Right now, things we like, my posters/pictures of Big Time Rush, her pictures she wants to put up. I will hang up my dry erase board on the wall by our headboards and she can write what she wants and I can write what I want. I will hang up personal pictures on the left wall by my bed and she will hang up personal pictures on the left wall by her bed. (On top of my bed.) We will have pillows of any kind. (I will have two regular sized pillows one that is white and purple, a pink pillow that is smaller, bright lime green pillow, a bright orange pillow and some decorative pillows in my favorite colors since I love pillows.) I don’t mind what pillows she has.
Now that you know our bedroom layout and why we are moving, can you give me advice on how to share with her? She never cleans up her room now, and I am a clean freak. I will clean up her mess all the time and she needs to learn that I will not clean her messes for her. Also, she is a light sleeper and we’re going to school next month so if we do move in and we do share, my alarm will wake her up and I get up at 4:30 because 1. I take a long time, and 2. I get grumpy when I wake up with everybody else so I get up early so I won’t be grumpy for school. I won’t wake up easily since I’m a heavy sleeper so any advice on how I get avoid waking her up? And, is the bedroom layout a good way to go? I think dividing the room is rude because she looks up to me and doing that makes her think that I don’t like her. Which I do like her. So, no dividing the room. Even though her drawings all over the wall and stuffed animals laid out will bug me, I’m dealing since it’s her room too if we do move in. Any advice on how I can learn to cope? Do you think I’m being selfish in any way, and if so, how can I change that? Any advice and/or critiques are welcome and appreciated.
Thank you for listening and sorry if I confused you!!
